Tres Leches Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsps. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 8 Tbsps. unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • 5 lg. eggs
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 C. heavy cream
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 oz. evaporated milk
  • whipped cream, for garnish
  • sliced fruit, for garnish, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking powder; Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well. Add vanilla.
  5. Add the flour mixture a little at a time until blended.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch round baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cake tests done.
  8. Cool cake for 10 minutes.
  9. Poke the cake with a fork all over the top.
  10. Mix together the 3 milks and pour over the cake.
  11. Place in fridge until all liquid is absorbed.
