Spiced Pear Galette Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Single-Crust
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 C. McCann’s® Quick Cooking Rolled Irish Oats
  • 1/4 C. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 5 Tbsp. sugar, divided
  • 3 unpeeled large pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. apple pie spice

Directions

  1. PREPARE dough for Single-Crust Crisco Classic Pie Crust. Chill at least 30 minutes or up to 2 days.
  2. HEAT oven to 375°F.
  3. MICROWAVE butter in small microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 20 seconds or until melted. Stir in oats, nuts and 1 Tbsp. sugar.
  4. COMBINE pears, 1/4 C. sugar, flour and apple pie spice in large bowl. Toss until pears are evenly coated.
  5. ROLL dough on well floured surface into a 13-inch circle. Place on large baking sheet.
  6. SPOON pear mixture onto center of dough, spreading to cover an 8-inch circular area. Sprinkle oat mixture over top. Lift edges of dough and fold inward to cover edges of filling. Gently press dough to seal pleated edges.
  7. BAKE 50 to 60 minutes or until pears are tender and crust is golden brown. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
