Ingredients

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 Tbsp. Rumford® Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 2/3 C. milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450° F.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk to make a soft dough.
  3. Turn out on floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds. Roll out to 1/2 to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut into rounds of desired size and place on greased baking pan. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
