Simple Chocolate Frosting Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 C. Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
  • ½ C. cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ C. milk

Directions

  1. Cream the shortening until smooth
  2. Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla
  3. Blend on low
  4. Slowly add the milk until the frosting comes together and is smooth and creamy; scraping the sides of the mixing bowl as needed
  5. Add more milk if you desire a thinner frosting
