Coconut Molasses Bars Recipe

Grandmas Easter Bars (1)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 C. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 C. + 2 Tbsp. Grandma’s® Original Molasses
  • 1/2 C. + 2 Tbsp. Cream of Coconut (not coconut milk)
  • 2 C. white chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 C. sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • sprinkles or candy coated chocolates

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13-inch pan with Baker’s Joy® No Stick Spray
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. In a large measuring cup or bowl, whisk together the cream of coconut and molasses (they will not fully blend). Pour mixture over the crumb base.
  4. Sprinkle white chocolate chips over the molasses mixture then do the same with the coconut and walnuts. Gently press the toppings down with the bottom of a measuring cup.
  5. Top by adding candies or sprinkles if desired.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting and serving.
  8. Keep in an airtight container.
