What’s the Difference Between Pure Almond Extract and Imitation? 

Ingredients

  • 3 2/3 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¾ C. butter, softened
  • 1 2/3 C. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tbsp. Spice Islands® Pure Almond Extract
  • Sprinkles

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer or with an electric hand mixer, cream the butter, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes on high speed; scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. On medium speed, add the eggs, vanilla, and almond extract and mix until blended; scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  5. On low speed, add the flour mixture and blend just until combined.
  6. Scoop dough into 2” dough balls and roll in sprinkles.
  7. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and flatten each cookie slightly with the palm of your hand.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
  9. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
