White Choc Orange Walnut Blondies

A holiday flavor trio of white chocolate, orange and walnuts. Also great with pistachios!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. Clabber Girl® Corn Starch
  • 1 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¾ C. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ C. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp. orange zest
  • 2 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • ½ C. white chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×9 inch pan with Baker’s Joy® Non Stick Spray and line with parchment paper going both directions – allowing it to hang over the sides of the pan; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, egg yolk, orange peel, and vanilla. Whisk until well blended and smooth.
  4. Add the flour mixture and gently fold into the batter until incorporated (some flour may still be visible).
  5. Stir in the walnuts and white chocolate.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, remove from the pan by lifting up on the parchment paper. Cut into squares.
