Soft Molasses Cookies Recipe

USE_Old-Fashioned-Soft-Molasses-Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 C. unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ C. dark brown sugar
  • 1 extra large egg
  • ½ C. Grandma’s® Original Molasses
  • 3 C. flour
  • 2 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Ginger

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F 
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger. Mix in the egg and molasses.
  3. Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda and salt until just combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for 2 hours.
  4. Roll the refrigerated dough into small balls and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. 
  6. Leave the cookies on the baking sheet to cool completely.
