Hot Fudge Pudding Cake 3

This cake makes its own sauce in the bottom of the pan! Scoop out your cake and then spoon some sauce over the top!

Ingredients

  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 C. granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 C. finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 C. cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 C. hot water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Generously spray a 9-inch pan (round or square) with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a mixer bowl, blend the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Then add in the milk and butter.
  5. Stir in nuts.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. In another medium bowl, blend the brown sugar and cocoa.
  8. Sprinkle over batter and then pour the hot water over the ingredients in the pan.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes until cake puffs up and seems set.
  10. Serve as is or with ice-cream or whipping cream.

 

Tips

Sift the cocoa powder and brown sugar together then use the sifter to sprinkle it over the cake batter for steps 7-8.
