Gooey Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars Recipe

Ingredients

Crust

  • 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. Clabber Girl® Corn Starch
  • 1/2 C. butter

Filling

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 C. corn syrup, light
  • 1/4 C. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. flaked coconut
  • 1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine flour, sugar and corn starch in a medium bowl.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  4. Press into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  5. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
  6. Beat eggs, corn syrup, peanut butter, vanilla, salt, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  7. Stir in coconut and chocolate chips.
  8. Pour over crust.
  9. Return to oven.
  10. Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until mixture is golden.
  11. Cool on wire rack and cut into bars.
