Ingredients

Cinnamon Crumb Mixture:

  • 1 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • ¼ C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • ¼ C. (half stick) butter

Cake Batter:

  • ½ C. (one stick) butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 C. Baking Mix
  • ¾ C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. apple pie spice
  • 1 C. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a fluted tube pan; set aside.

Cinnamon Crumb Mixture:

    1. Combine brown sugar, flour and add cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture becomes crumbly; set aside.

Cake Batter:

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and eggs. Combine Baking Mix, brown sugar and apple pie spice; blend thoroughly.
  2. Add buttermilk alternately with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. Batter will be thick.
  3. Spoon half the batter into the tube pan; sprinkle half the cinnamon crumb mixture on top of batter.
  4. Add remaining batter and top with remaining crumb mixture.
  5. Bake for 1 hour.
  6. Allowing cooling for at least 5 minutes then invert tube pan to release cake onto serving plate.
  7. Cool and slice.
