Ingredients

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp. coarse salt
  • 1 C. Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • ½ C. plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. water

Directions

  1. In a mixer bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add the shortening and mix on medium-low speed for about 2 minutes or until the mixture is a shaggy dough.
  3. Add the yogurt and water and mix until well blended.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to an 8×10-inch rectangle.
  5. Tri-fold like a business letter, flip over, turn 90° and roll to 8×10 again.
  6. Repeat this step two more times, then wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  8. When ready to use, roll out dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut into desired shape.
  9. Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for 10 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through the time.

Tips

Use within a couple of days of making. Otherwise, wrap well and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in refrigerator before use.
