Pecan Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • 3 C. Homemade Cookie Mix
  • 3 Tbsps. Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 C. firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 C. coarsely chopped pecans

Directions

  1. HEAT oven to 350°F. Line 13×9-inch baking pan with foil, extending foil to the edge of pan. Coat with no-stick cooking spray like Baker’s Joy®.
  2. COMBINE Homemade Cookie Mix and shortening with a fork until evenly moistened. Pat evenly in bottom of prepared pan.
  3. BAKE 15 minutes. Whisk sweetened condensed milk, egg, brown sugar and vanilla until blended. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over partially baked crust.
  4. BAKE 25 to 28 minutes or until golden brown and center is set. Cool completely. Cut into 48 bars.
