Homemade Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Crisco Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup + 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening -melted
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh herbs of your choice
  • Salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a baking pan with Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening or line with a silicone baking mat
  2. Add all Dough ingredients except flour into a large mixing bowl and whisk. Add in flour gradually and stir in until a dough forms. Be careful not to add all the flour because you should have a little leftover.
  3. Divide dough into 9 pieces and roll into balls. Place into baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 – 20 minutes or until golden brown on top, rotating the pan halfway through.
  5. Remove and brush with melted shortening, fresh herbs & salt.
  6. Tag both in the bread categories
