Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ Creamy Cinnamon Spread Stuffed Cinnamon Puffs

Ingredients

  • 5 C. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 C. butter, melted
  • 3/4 C. Cinnadust™
  • 1 C. Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ Cinnamon Spread

Directions

  1. Pour oil into a medium saucepan and heat oil to 350°F.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix dry ingredients together (except the Cinnadust™).
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the milk, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Stir together the wet and dry mixtures for a few seconds. Stir in the melted butter and mix until a thick batter forms.
  5. Use a small ice cream scoop to drop batter into the hot oil. Fry on each side about 3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Pour the Cinnadust™ into a small bowl. When donuts are removed from oil, add them to the bowl and toss to coat. Allow to cool.
  7. While puffs are cooling, fill a plastic squeeze bottle with the cinnamon spread.
  8. Once puffs are cooled, press the tip of the squeeze bottle into the side of the puff and fill puff until you see it expand. Remove tip and repeat the process with remaining puffs.
  9. Ready to serve.
