Tosi Fudgy Choc Hearts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1/2 C. chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 C. + 1 Tbsp. confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/2 C. + 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • + fun stuff (think sprinkles, nuts, cookie crumbs, etc.!)

 

Directions

  1. In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, on low speed, mix together shortening and melted chocolate chips until smooth, 1-2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  2. Still on low speed, mix in confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder salt until smooth, about 1 minute.
  3. Roll out into a rectangular slab between parchment or wax paper. Chill in the fridge to firm up for 10 minutes and use a knife or cookie cutters to cut small squares or any size or shape you please- stars! hearts! circles!
  4. Store and serve at room temperature or out of the fridge for a delightfully fudgy moment.
