Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Yogurt Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 C. strawberries, chopped (or other fruit)
  • 1 C. vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 C. dark chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • Sprinkles, flaked sea salt, and/or nuts, optional

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped berries and yogurt, stir well.
  2. Scoop out mixture in about 2 Tbsp. portions and place on a parchment or waxed paper lined baking sheet.
  3. Freeze for 1 hour.
  4. In a large glass measuring cup or a glass microwave safe bowl, add the chocolate and the shortening.
  5. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring well each time, until melted and smooth.
  6. Remove strawberry bites from the freezer.
  7. Using a fork, dip each one in the chocolate, shaking off any excess chocolate.
  8. Place on the lined baking sheet and immediately add sprinkles, sea salt or nuts, if using.
  9. Repeat with the remaining bites.
  10. Place sheet back in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  11. Enjoy frozen or allow to set at room temperature for 15 minutes for a softer bite.
