Ingredients
- 3 C. all-purpose white flour, plus more for shaping the dough
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. Rumford® Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 C. very cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 1/3 C. buttermilk (or whole or reduced-fat milk, combined with 2 tsp. lemon juice), plus a little more if needed
- Berries:
- 6 to 7 C. fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and chopped (about 2 1/4 pounds untrimmed)
- 1/2 to 3/4 C. granulated sugar, or to taste
- Lightly sweetened whipped cream
- Whole or halved fresh strawberries for garnish
